EMP Partner and COO served as a chair for deck control at the Olympic Swimming Trials held in Omaha Nebraska. The trials this year were divided into two separate waves (https://swimswam.com/event-schedules-for-both-waves-of-2021-u-s-olympic-trials/). Wave 1 (June 4-7) was a four-day competition with prelims and finals (there were no semifinals). The top two finishers in each event in Wave 1 advanced to Wave II (June 13-20) from which the USA Olympic Swimming team was selected.
The USA Swimming Olympic Trials were held at CHI Health Center Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska. Beckett spent four weeks providing support and assistance before, during, and following the trials in collaboration with the Omaha Sports Commission and the LOC. In addition to Beckett, EMP team member, Peggy Carl also served as aco-chair with deck control and coordination for evening finals with media and event production..
Beckett shared, “It was an honor to be involved with the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) and the Omaha Sports Commission in these marquee events both representing EMP and contributing to the process of selection for our Olympic team.
